This is my interpretation of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz

a hundred years from when the last book ended.

This is part of a school project where I am designing environments

and characters for the Land of Oz, imagining what it would be like

a hundred years into the future.

Tea Princess Nursery Rhyme Book

Tea Princess is a fashion label for little girls from

Sydney and I used their gorgeous clothes designs for

my illustrations. These pictures were for a project

that combined fashion illustration with children's book

illustration. I wanted to come up with a fashion catalogue

that was in the form of a nursery rhyme book.

I picked up printmaking over the hols and totally love

the hand cut style. Will continue to use more of this

technique in the future...

am doing for a project in school. Can't disclose all the details cos

I want to reveal it all at once when I'm done!

The clothes have all been designed by Tea Princess,

really exquisite stuff.

I did this piece for an exhibition in Melbourne

to raise funds for the children in Kenya..

Did this in kind of a rush! I forgot all about

it till the last minute but didn't want to just

let such a good cause go away... I think its

not everyday you get to use your artwork for

something other than indulging yourself

(something we artists always do!)

My submission for the topic 'Brave'.

I actually came up with this idea while getting stuck at the

A&E for 3 hrs. My friend and I were trying to pass the time

and she told me about how she met children from the cancer

wards who are always terribly brave about the difficulties that

they have to through and I was very impressed.

Hopefully all of us will learn a thing or two from these little warriors

I don't know what to name this!

This was my initial idea for 'Propogate' but I felt that

it represented growth more than propogate, so I scrapped it..

but I liked the drawing very much so I finished it in my free time

I did this for a fashion illustration assignment.

I tried to make it into an art noveau inspired design

with the thick lines and flowers; I'm not sure it got

there but I'm quite pleased with the result as its my

first time using watercolour!

This is Me

Hello Everyone! I suppose that I should give a little introduction

about myself since this is my first online artblog.

Yes, this picture is a cartoonisation of myself. I did this a year ago

so now my hairstyle is a bit different, but It's about the same.

I'm a Singaporean currently studying in Melbourne.

I've graduated from Swinburne with a Degree in Design and currently

in my final year of Bachelor of Illustration in NMIT.

I love children's books and children's art and I have a passion in

drawing characters and coming up with stories for them.

My favoured mediums are digital and colour pencil but I'd like to

try out more brushwork as well.

I hope to become a children's book illustrator or anything that has

to do with design and lets me draw :)
